This Privacy Policy explains how INFOSTRING TECHNOLABS PVT LTD (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the Carousel Post mobile application, our website at carouselpost.net, and related services collectively referred to as the “Services.”
By using Carousel Post, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
1. WHO WE ARE
Carousel Post is operated by:
INFOSTRING TECHNOLABS PVT LTD
For users in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, INFOSTRING TECHNOLABS PVT LTD is the data controller responsible for personal information processed through the Services.
2. INFORMATION WE MAY PROCESS
The information processed depends on which features you use, the permissions you grant, and the version of the App installed on your device.
A. Photos, Videos, GIFs, Audio, and Design Content
Carousel Post allows you to import and edit photos, videos, GIFs, text, graphics, stickers, fonts, frames, and other creative content.
Your media and design projects are generally processed and stored locally on your device. We do not access, view, or upload your private photos, videos, or projects to our servers unless:
- You intentionally send content to us for customer support;
- You use a feature that clearly requires online processing;
- You choose content from an online GIF, sticker, template, font, or media provider;
- You export or share content using Apple or another third-party service; or
- Cloud synchronization or device backup is enabled through a service controlled by you or your device provider.
You are responsible for ensuring that you have permission to use, edit, and share all imported content.
B. Photo Library, Camera, and Other Device Permissions
Depending on the features you use, Carousel Post may request access to:
- Your photo and video library;
- Your camera;
- Your microphone or media audio;
- Local device storage;
- Notifications; and
- Other device features required to provide an option you select.
These permissions are used only to provide the relevant feature. You can review or revoke permissions through your device settings. Some App features may stop working if required permissions are disabled.
C. Purchase and Subscription Information
Carousel Post PRO subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
We do not receive your full credit card number, bank details, or Apple Account password. Apple may provide us with limited transaction information such as:
- Purchased product or subscription plan;
- Transaction and original transaction identifiers;
- Subscription status and expiration date;
- Trial, renewal, cancellation, or refund status;
- Storefront or country information; and
- Purchase validation information.
We use this information to activate premium features, verify purchases, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide subscription support.
D. Usage and Diagnostic Information
We may collect or receive technical and usage information needed to operate, secure, understand, and improve the App, including:
- Device type and model;
- Operating system and App version;
- Language, country, and time zone;
- App launches and feature interactions;
- Performance information;
- Crash reports and error logs;
- Anonymous or pseudonymous installation identifiers;
- Network type and approximate location inferred from an IP address; and
- Subscription and entitlement events.
Where required by law, analytics, tracking, or advertising technologies are used only after obtaining the required permission or consent.
E. Support Communications
When you contact us, we may receive:
- Your name and email address;
- Your message and support request;
- Screenshots, screen recordings, projects, or media you choose to provide;
- Device and App information related to the issue; and
- Our correspondence with you.
Please do not send sensitive or confidential content unless it is necessary for us to resolve your request.
F. Online Content Searches
If Carousel Post offers online searches for GIFs, stickers, templates, graphics, fonts, or similar materials, your search terms and technical request information may be sent to the applicable content provider.
The provider may process information under its own privacy policy. Avoid entering personal or sensitive information into media-search fields.
G. Advertising Information
If the version of Carousel Post you use displays advertisements, advertising providers may process information such as:
- Device or advertising identifiers;
- IP address and approximate location;
- App interactions and ad impressions;
- Ad clicks and conversion information; and
- Consent or privacy preference signals.
Where required, personalized advertising will be offered only after you grant the relevant permission. You may still receive non-personalized or contextual advertisements after declining personalized advertising.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
We may use information to:
- Provide photo, video, GIF, collage, carousel, and design features;
- Save, load, export, and restore projects;
- Process and verify subscriptions and purchases;
- Provide premium features;
- Respond to support requests;
- Diagnose crashes, errors, and performance issues;
- Improve the App, templates, tools, and user experience;
- Protect the Services against fraud, abuse, and security threats;
- Enforce our Terms of Use;
- Comply with legal obligations; and
- Send service-related communications where necessary.
We do not use your private photos, videos, or projects to train generative artificial intelligence models unless we clearly disclose that use and obtain any legally required permission.
4. LEGAL BASES FOR PROCESSING
Where the GDPR, UK GDPR, or similar laws apply, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:
- Contract: processing necessary to provide features or premium services you request;
- Consent: processing based on permission you can withdraw, such as access to photos, notifications, personalized advertising, or optional analytics;
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing, troubleshooting, and improving the Services where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
- Legal obligation: retaining or disclosing information when required by law; and
- Protection of rights: establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims.
Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
5. HOW INFORMATION MAY BE SHARED
We may share limited information with:
A. Service Providers
Companies that provide hosting, analytics, crash reporting, customer support, fraud prevention, content delivery, advertising, or other technical services.
These providers may process information only for the services they provide to us, subject to their agreements and applicable law.
B. Apple
Apple processes App Store downloads, purchases, subscription billing, refunds, device permissions, and other platform services under Apple’s own terms and privacy practices.
C. Media and Content Providers
When you search for or download online GIFs, stickers, templates, fonts, graphics, or other materials, the applicable provider may receive your request and related technical information.
D. Sharing Services Selected by You
When you export or share content, information is provided to the app, platform, contact, or service you select. Their privacy practices apply after the content leaves Carousel Post.
E. Legal and Safety Disclosures
We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with law, legal process, or a valid government request;
- Protect the rights, safety, property, or security of users, the public, or the Services;
- Investigate fraud, abuse, infringement, or security incidents; or
- Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
F. Business Transfers
Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, asset sale, or similar transaction. Any successor will be required to handle personal information consistently with applicable law.
6. SALE OR SHARING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We do not sell personal information in exchange for money.
Certain advertising or analytics disclosures may be considered a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for targeted advertising under some privacy laws, even when no money is exchanged.
Where applicable, you may opt out using the privacy controls provided in the App, your device settings, or by contacting us at [email protected].
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of children under 16 for cross-context behavioral advertising.
7. DATA RETENTION
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy.
Examples include:
- Local projects remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the App, or remove the associated files;
- Support communications may be retained while resolving an issue and for a reasonable recordkeeping period;
- Purchase records may be retained as necessary for subscription verification, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance;
- Diagnostic information may be retained for a limited period needed to identify and fix technical problems; and
- Information may be retained longer when required by law, a dispute, or an enforceable legal hold.
Uninstalling the App does not necessarily delete information already processed by Apple, a third-party provider, a cloud backup service, or a sharing destination.
8. DATA SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure.
No electronic storage or transmission system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and you are responsible for protecting your device, account credentials, exported files, and backups.
9. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
We and our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live.
Where required, we use recognized safeguards for international transfers, such as adequacy decisions, contractual protections, consent, or other legally permitted transfer mechanisms.
10. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:
- Request access to personal information;
- Request correction of inaccurate information;
- Request deletion;
- Restrict or object to processing;
- Receive a portable copy of certain information;
- Withdraw consent;
- Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or sharing;
- Limit certain uses of sensitive personal information;
- Appeal a denied privacy request; and
- Submit a complaint to a privacy or data-protection authority.
To exercise a privacy right, email [email protected] with the subject “Carousel Post Privacy Request.”
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Because most projects and media remain on your device, we may not possess or be able to access the content you ask us to delete. You can delete local projects directly through the App or your device.
11. CALIFORNIA PRIVACY NOTICE
California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, including rights to know, access, correct, and delete personal information and to opt out of certain sales or sharing.
In the preceding 12 months, we may have collected the categories described in Section 2, including identifiers, internet or electronic activity, device information, approximate location, commercial information related to subscriptions, and content voluntarily provided for support.
We collect, use, retain, and disclose these categories for the business and commercial purposes described in this Policy.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a right to limit unless disclosed at the time of collection.
12. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Carousel Post is not directed to children under 13, or to a higher minimum age where required by local law.
We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children below the applicable age without legally valid parental consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact [email protected] so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
13. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND LINKS
Carousel Post may contain content, integrations, or links provided by third parties. We do not control their privacy, security, content, or data practices.
Review the privacy policies of Apple, social-media platforms, GIF and sticker providers, analytics providers, advertising providers, and other services you choose to use.
14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in the App, our practices, third-party services, or applicable law.
The updated Policy will be published with a revised “Last Updated” date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or request renewed consent.
Your continued use of the Services after an update takes effect constitutes acknowledgment of the revised Policy, except where the law requires a different form of acceptance.
